TREATMENT OF RESIDUAL WATERS

Previous tests show 95% to 99% degradation of hydrocarbon aromatics in 40 days.
Currently, new leachates are treated through aerobic and anaerobic digesters and reverse osmosis.
On work being conducted with Proactiva, SA it is estimated that the treatment cost of new leachates will be reduced from US$40 to US$50 per cubic meter to under US$10.
Old leachates are currently considered untreatable. These products are expected to degrade them by 95% to 98%, allowing for the treatment of these conditions throughout the world.
